The Beauty in My Smile

When I was younger, I would look in the mirror and see my smile… a federation of teeth, gum lines and lips that opened too wide and revealed too much.

Looking back now, it seems only natural that as I cleaned and polished the windows of my mind with meditation, mantras and love, the beauty within began to shine through, even my smile.

We all possess such great beauty...

You see me
Smiling in all my glory
Like a sun
Like a force of nature
Wild and free

And you think
I am the answer
To prayers
To dreams
To desires

I am not
You are...

The glorious light
Shining in me
Shines in you
Too

All you have to do is
Recognize
Embrace you
My mantra this year is
I love and approve of me
Love and approve of you
Too

Problems are a part of life
They come and they will go
Like fall and winter

The beauty in my smile is knowing Spring
Comes round the bend soon enough
This is not the end my friend
Joy will visit again
